From Perfectionism to Progress: How Embracing Imperfection Changed My Journey

From Perfectionism to Progress: How Embracing Imperfection Changed My Journey

I used to think I had to be perfect before I could begin anything. That I needed the perfect plan, the perfect energy, the perfect timing.

That mindset kept me stuck for years. Quietly suffering at 140kg, smiling on the outside, but disconnected from myself.

At some point, I just got tired. Not just physically — mentally. I started showing up even when things felt messy. I gave myself permission to try, even if it wasn’t perfect.

That’s when progress finally started.

Today, I weigh 80kg. But that number is just the surface. What matters more is the shift inside me. I started to believe in myself again. Not because I hit some magical goal, but because I kept going — even when it wasn’t pretty.

I’m not a guru. I’m not here to sell perfection. I just wanted to document the journey, in case it helps someone out there feel less alone.

So I started posting on YouTube. Just simple, honest videos. My thoughts, my growth, my transformation. No filters, no fake motivation.

And if you’re on X, I post my thoughts and daily sparks there too:

Thanks for being here. If you’re on your own journey — whether it’s health, mindset, or just life — I see you. Let’s keep going.
